Spring is a great time for a wedding, and it’s also the perfect opportunity for lighter suit colours to shine. Whether you’re the groom, a groomsman or an attendee, now’s a great time to give your wedding wardrobe a good spring cleaning.

While there are plenty of suave suit shades to choose from, neutral palettes are trending this season, and with good reason. Neutral tones act as a canvas for other colours, allowing you freedom to express yourself through your shirt, ties and other accessories. We’re exploring three different neutral shades here – let's find the one that suits you best.

Stone: The composed cool look

Stone is a colour that resounds ‘clean’. It toes the line between off-white and white and pairs amazingly with a crisp white shirt, a darker statement tie and a matching pocket square. Just about any colour works with stone, although we find darker colours and patterns work best when adding contrast to a paler outfit.

Plus, if you’re planning on taking some unforgettable photos, a clean stone suit particularly shines at rustic venues – think wineries or barns – helping you look the part.

If you’re looking for a particularly clean look, you won’t find better than our Parkfield Tailored Suit (also available in Natural). It features a slim cut and a wide notched lapel for a classic suit profile, plus it’s got a touch of elastane in its fabric blend, so you can hit the dance floor in comfort and style.

Natural: An instant modern classic

The natural colourway lends itself to tones of off-white, cream and white. It’s elegant, chic, and it combines vintage vibes with modern flair into one slick package – perfect for a spring garden wedding.

Natural also plays well with lighter shirts – white and sky blue are some of our favourite pairings. In similar fashion to a stone suit, dark accessories work a treat here. Pick from burgundy, dark brown or dark blue ties, add a boutonnière or pocket square and finish the look with a pair of brown leather shoes. A natural suit is also perfect attire for summer weddings too – beach weddings and tie-less dress codes for instance – so you can easily reuse it when summer rolls around.

Our Parkfield Tailored Suit Jacket (also available in Stone) features a two-toned marled texture with a touch of linen. The tailored jacket accentuates the shoulders and slightly pulls in at the waist, creating a form-flattering façade.

Fawn: The sharp and tailored look

Fawn is a subtle colour that fuses hints of cream, off-white and brown together – think of it as a slightly warmer shade of natural with a sharp yet laid-back vibe. In the same vein, fawn matches a variety of lighter shirt colours, especially the unsung hero of suiting: a crisp, white shirt. Sometimes, less is more.

A fawn suit is a great choice for a country wedding venue – whether it’s a church, barn, or even a restored warehouse or farm. Pop a white shirt on, throw on a matching fawn tie, add a chrome tie clip and finish with whisky penny loafers and a matching leather belt for a suave, tailored look.

Ready to step up your wedding outfit? Our Lloyd tailored jacket is a sharp take on contemporary style, featuring a unique marled fabrication and wide peak lapel. It’s woven from a subtle marled fabric and cut slim for a profile that accents your body shape.

This spring, it’s all about neutrals for wedding season. Whether you prefer warmer shades or cooler colours, make sure you look your utmost best at your next wedding event.
