The versatile modern chino.
Smart. Low-key. Cool. There’s no pant more versatile than the modern chino. It covers every sartorial gap in your wardrobe. You can match white chinos with loafers and nautical stripes for instant summertime cool. Reach for an inky navy and pair it with your favourite blazer/shirt/tie combo – smart with a modern edge. Pair pastel pink chinos with a simple white shirt and brown leather driving shoes. The options are endless.
You can learn how to style your chinos via our chinos guide.
Fact: your chino collection can never be big enough. Our soft, stretchy chinos are crafted from Better Cotton Initiative cotton, in a variety of colours, so we’ve got every occasion and outfit combo covered. Their slim, tapered fit works with everything from tailored jackets and brogues to slouch-tees and clean sneakers.
COMFORT COMES FIRST. THAT’S WHY WE ADD A LITTLE STRETCH TO EVERY PAIR OF POLITIX CHINOS. TAKE YOUR PICK AND MAKE YOUR MOVE.
TYPES OF STRETCH
SUPER STRETCH
This is your year-round, go-to pant. Dressed up or down, our Super Stretch Chino will get you through everything from a Netflix couch session to 24-hour long-haul flights (we never thought we’d miss those…)
LIGHTWEIGHT STRETCH
Lightweight stretch chinos are the perfect summer-style change-up. Light and breathable, with plenty of stretch, these guys have warm weather details like chambray pockets and a textured belt.
LUXURY STRETCH
Our luxury stretch chinos are crafted in the same factory as our suits. Think of them as the modern alternative to suit pants. And thanks to a subtle hint of elastane, they’re comfortable too. We’ve given them tailored details and a premium, suit-like finish. Swap these into your Monday-to-Friday mix and reap the rewards. They’re guaranteed to pass the ‘Will my boss be okay with this?’ test.
JOGGER CHINOS
Chino joggers might be the greatest thing since Levi Strauss invented jeans. They exist halfway between chino pants and tracksuit pants, with a low-rise and baggy fit. These guys are the embodiment of the modern athleisure trend. Wear them to the supermarket, wear them to brunch, wear them ‘round the house. Chino joggers are the most comfortable pants known to science.
CHINO COLOURS
Pink chinos
Don’t be afraid of pink chino pants. They’re a spring/summer staple for a reason. The trick is picking the right shade of pink—you want washed-out pastels, not Barbie’s Dream House—and pairing them with a simple white shirt, or shades of navy and sky blue. The golden rule here is: loud on the bottom, quiet on the top. Throw on some simple white sneakers to complete the look.
Navy chinos
Ahh, the good old navy men’s chino. Along with khaki and tan chinos, these guys are your go-to transeasonal staple, suitable anywhere with almost anything. Navy chinos are even more versatile than black chinos: try a charcoal knit blazer and brown loafers for a smart casual look, or dress it down with boat shoes and a plain white tee. You really can’t go wrong with these guys.
Blue chinos
Navy tends to steal the show when it comes to blue chinos, but there are plenty of other shades to consider. Petrol, teal, sky blue, marine blue—these are all versatile options. Obviously the lighter the shade, the more summery the look. Experiment with hues until you find what feels comfortable. Bonus points if you match them with a paisley shirt.
Green chinos
Arguably our favourite chino colour, and always criminally underrated, green chinos straddle that line between ‘smart’ and ‘casual’. You can find rich emerald chinos, which are fantastic for spring cocktail parties, but our personal choice is the classic khaki green. You can wear these guys anywhere, and they look smashing with a navy knit blazer, or even a simple black crew-neck tee.
Black chinos
Depending on your workplace dress code, black chinos are a great alternative to formal suit pants. Just remember to accessories correctly: a good quality black leather belt, black loafers or Derby shoes, and a well-fitted business shirt. If you’re tired of jeans, black chinos are also a classic date night option. Just throw on a bomber jacket, crew neck tee and dark suede Chukka boots.
